Bizarre Thrills: The Movie?

Does anyone out there want to see this movie?

We are strongly considering making an adaptation of the “Blackjack” story from Bill Black’s infamous 1977 Paragon Publications cult hit Bizarre Thrills #1. There is the possibility that we may be able to work with Maria Paris again soon, and we want to showcase her talents (and those of The Blue Bulleteer) in a more action-oriented and “peril-centric” capacity. We shied away from extended action scenes in our earlier movies “back in the day” when we filmed with Maria, so we’ve never really seen The Blue Bulleteer kicking ass in Angel Avengers-style, or watched her be put through her paces as we are currently doing with Stormy Tempest. Bizarre Thrills would be the perfect showcase for both of these things, and it would also be our first attempt at directly adapting one of our published stories for film. We think we can pull it off, but we’ll need to run a fundraiser in order to make it happen.

So… if you’re interested, please let us know by posting a comment below, or by shooting us an email!

You can purchase the unabridged issue itself as a PDF by clicking on the image below.  The cover pretty much says it all.

BlackJack the Movie……ABSOLUTELY!
I read that story in the download I got a couple of years ago and was floored. The story was, well “BIZARRE.” It is strange, creepy and well played out. One suggestion, drop the other planet angle mentioned in the beginning. It’s an unnecessary addition and distracts from the “realness” of the story.

We’ll be expanding it somewhat, so that Maria has more to do than just sit around and get blackjacked (though there will be plenty of that also). It will definitely remain strange and creepy and bizarre and sexy and peril-oriented, and we will attempt to recreate panels/scenarios from the comic whenever possible… but it will also have many new surprises and explore new territory. The Blackjack tale will be incorporated into a larger story for the film series.

In the comic the female Black Terror looked really great. You guys should look into bringing that character to life somehow.
