We hope to release “Stormy Tempest: The Sleeper Strikes” in just a few days. This will be our first major release in high-definition! This is also the first time we will be releasing two versions of the same film.

We’re now planning to release a “Cinematic Version” which will be edited in the style of all of the previous Stormy films with the usual emphasis on storytelling and maintaining a rapid pace. We’ll also be releasing a “Gratuitous Extended Edition” which will have a slower pace and incorporate more footage, slow motion and alternate angles.

Basically it works like this…

We only need to see about 30 seconds of a bearhug to get the idea across for the storyline. To keep it exciting and story-driven we will use rapid cuts. This is how we normally do things and is what we will release in the “Cinematic Version”. If we edit the bearhug scene using as much of the footage that we shot as possible, and enhance it further with slow motion to emphasize certain moments of the struggle, then the bearhug scene will be 2 minutes long. If a two-minute bearhug sounds boring and redundant to you, then stick with the “cinematic version”. If a two-minute bearhug sounds like nirvana to you, then you will definitely want the “gratuitous extended edition”. If you think you might want to see BOTH we will also be offering them together as a discounted bundle. But the ONLY WAY to get the discount is to purchase the bundle upfront. If you buy only one version and decide later that you would like to see the other also, you’ll have to purchase it separately.

If this sounds complicated it will all make sense once the film is ready hopefully later this week.

Right now The Sleeper Strikes Extended Edition edit runs 22 minutes. Special effects are now in progress. Look for another update tomorrow!

Gratuitous Bearhug!
