Stormy Tempest: Season 4

Stormy Tempest: Season 4

Yesterday I talked a bit about where we have been, so today’s entry is about where we are going.

Expect to see the conclusion of Stormy Tempest Season 4 (guest-starring Astra and Astron) early in the year, and yet another chapter of Ghost of Garganta hopefully in the spring. We can do quick projects like the Angel Avengers at anytime, so more AA throughout the year also seems likely.

What else will 2013 bring? Honestly, we still have no clue! We’re still working out the details, but here’s what I DO know…

We have big things planned for January!

It’s looking like we will have access to Nicola Rae on multiple occassions this January, which should allow us to do multiple films depending upon what we can afford. Our intention is to film as many episodes as possible with her while we can, and then release them sequentially throughout the rest of 2013. This will require a significant investment all at once, since we will basically be producing multiple films at one time requiring many new costumes, props, bad guys and set pieces. To facilitate this we’ll need some help, so there will be multiple fundraisers (three, I think) available over the course of the next few months. The fundraising goodies that you can acquire at the end of THIS year will make the 2013 January batch of CultRetro films possible.

And what might those films entail?

Here are some of the options on the table. Some will depending upon what we are able to afford and how often we are able to film and who (besides Nicola Rae) we are able to film with.

The Death of Stormy Tempest:
This is the big one. Stormy Tempest: Season 5! If we do nothing else with Nicola Rae in January, we will do this. This is a pivotal series of episodes and it will have a significant impact on the future of several of our characters, especially Stormy herself. Look for the return of Clayton the Sleeper, Velocity Blaze and a new alien character to round out the cast in what we hope will be the most dramatic and intense chapter of the Stormy Tempest saga to date.

Stormy Tempest: Quests:
In the aftermath of the Season 5 storyline, Stormy will embark upon a series of quests throughout time and space as she searches for rare items. Basically these “quests” will be 1 or 2 chapters long and we will film as many as we can afford and time permits. Stormy will utilize specialized suits to aid her in each quest. We are preparing an episode that will see Stormy utilize a stealth suit to aid her in combat against a large group of foes. We are also preparing an episode that will feature an aquatic Stormy suit; the working title for this quest is ”Bride of the Moss Monster”. Yet another would feature a hostile environment suit and an alien menace. We will produce as many of these quests as time and resources will allow.

Blue Bulleteer: Bizarre Thrills:
We may be able to fly Maria Paris down to Florida in January for another outing as the Blue Bulleteer. In fact Maria recently purchased a blue swimsuit for the occassion! The script calls for the return of Mike Acord as The Cloak, a mysterious new monster, lots of bondage and blackjacking, and the villainess Dr. Zorn. If the schedule lines up (and that’s a BIG IF) we may be able to use Nicola Rae as Dr. Zorn.

I can’t promise that all of this will happen as we haven’t actually filmed it yet, but this is where we are heading. If we can somehow pull all of this off in one month we’ll be broke and exhausted… but it’ll make 2013 one Hell of a year!

Looks fantastic. Three questions.

1. When is the first fundraiser and what making of footage will donating give us access to?
2. Is Astra a Velocity Blaze type character? Powerful and chasing Stormy for crimes she is not guilty of?
3. As much as I love Nicola Rae as a heroine I think someone of her stature and acting ability would make a great villain. Maybe as a foil for the Angel Avengers. Is that a possibility?

1. Soon. Probably next week. Details will be provided once it’s ready.
2. Astra is a good guy. She is as heroic as they come (and she may one day have her own solo episodes). You’ll have to purchase the film to discover why these heroines are fighting each other.
3. I’d like to see Nicola Rae as a villainess as well. If she can’t play Dr. Zorn in the Bulleteer film, then using her as an Angel Avenger villainess is a definite possibility.

I can see Nicola Rae as Dr. Zorn.

You can count on my support.

Your projects sound very interesting. I’m a little worry about the episode of the death of Stormy Tempest, but the “Quests” episodes sounds like Indiana Jones movies to me. In these episodes is where will be the quick sands that mentioned in previous postings?

Have no fear. Stormy will emerge from her “death” a better heroine than ever. It’s not a horror movie, it’s a hero’s journey.

Each quest will be different in tone and approach with each representing a different “genre”. I’m hoping to incorporate something like a quicksand scene into the “hostile environment suit quest”. Lots of nice beaches in Florida. :)

Hi! “The Death of Stormy Tempest” sounds like the phoenix’s concept: “dies and is born from the ashes” I liked.

The “hostile environment suit quest”??? Woah!!! Apparently you have planned to do more than one new suit. Although I would have preferred to see the original costume in the quicksand, to give input to the new suit.

“To expect the unexpected shows a thoroughly modern intellect.” (Oscar Wilde)

The fate of the current costume has yet to be determined, but there will be others… as well as other surprises that are not mentioned above.

Here is our very own Maria Paris in a very different project:

Wow! How did you find that? Maria’s been in all kinds of stuff. Her standup routine is pretty good also. I’ll have to give this clip its own entry just so we can find it again.

Maria was nice enough to accept me as a Facebook friend. She made a posting one day about Owlet pictures. They tried a kickstarter to get this funded but they fell short.
Check out Summer of the Zombies, it’s not what you expect.

(No Maria Paris in this one)

More Maria Paris:

Her character description is this: “This one’s got a pair of gams that just won’t quit” No arguments here.
