Since I seem to be on a “Yvonne” streak I thought I’d toss in one more. Yvonne Romain is an exotic and voluptuous model-turned-actress most famous for her role in Hammer horror films. Look for her in Corridors of Blood, The Curse of the Werewolf and Circus of Horrors (not Hammer, but British).
Fans of cinematic hypnosis scenes should also check out Devil Doll, which features the mesmerizing Yvonne as she is hypnotized throughout by “The Great Vorelli” (Bryant Haliday). The movie has a great twist ending and Hugo (the “doll”) freaked me out when I was a kid. Chucky rocks, but Hugo’s dead eyes are just eerie.
Promo images from The Curse of the Werewolf depict scenes that never occur in the film (a common occurance “back in the day”). Yvonne and the werewolf do not interact. Yvonne is attacked and raped while imprisoned early in the film and the resulting pregnancy gives rise to the child who will later become the werewolf. The Curse of the Werewolf is an excellent film and I’ve always liked the creature’s design; the whole production holds up pretty well (as most Hammer films do) and is definitely worth a look, even though the werewolf doesn’t show up until the very end.
Did I mention that Yvonne Romain is exotic and voluptuous?
And voluptuous?

Hot stuff! I was not aware of of most of the info you imparted in this posting. Thank you for cluing me in.
Also is there any chance you be offering any of the films described above , for sale , via Cult Retro ?
One of many Hammer films I have on DVD. In The Curse of the Werewolf her beauty & many charms are on display (although she can’t talk). Her sultry eyes & complexion, not to mention her ample cleavage keep you from stopping this movie! Check Amazon for the Hammer Collection which includes Brides of Dracula, which stars the equally gorgeous Yvonne Monlaur (two dolls with the same first name)!.
